To Bethlehem Baptist Church and to Everyone that are concerned,
In the wake of the hysteria about the Covid-19 Coronavirus, and the gathering for Worship this Sunday, the leadership at Bethlehem Baptist Church would like to first encourage everyone to respond in faith instead of fear. God is on the throne and not even a wide spread virus can challenge Him. Be wise, practice good hygiene, and be wise about contact precautions!
1.) We WILL be having services as normal this weekend. All schedules are normal.
2.) Bethlehem is to become a ‘no-contact’ zone concerning hand shaking etc. Just be smart, if you need to cough or sneeze, use the crook of your elbow, wash your hands often, (use soap/warm water and recite the Lord’s Prayer so you wash long enough!) etc.
3.) We will be disinfecting common surfaces etc. between services and taking extra precautions to keep the church building germ free as much as humanly possible!
4.) Please note... this illness often is present a few days prior to symptoms, meaning that anyone feeling sick in the slightest or even with a suspicion that you are sick needs to exercise caution by staying home! We strongly encourage our seniors to take an even a higher level of care and caution,(which are known to be disproportionately affected). If you are concerned about gathering due to underlying medical conditions, recent treatments, surgeries, or suppressed immune systems, we also encourage you to stay home! If you need to or choose to stay home, you are encouraged to worship with us on FaceBook Live! Everyone must make the informed decision for himself/herself, and your family! Please know that we completely understand if you fall into these categories or just simply don’t feel safe! We look forward to gathering with you again in person sometime soon in the future when the issues with this virus are past us!!!
5.) Finally, remember, no matter what the coming weeks bring, we still need to honor the support of the ministry. Online giving is a great way to continue to do that if you or we are unable to meet in the future!
Blessings to each and every one of you! Pray that God use even these strange times to move the Gospel forward! Pray for the lost, pray for our Church family, pray for our country and know that you are LOVED!
